RACHEL BLAU DUPLESSIS

Tapa Notebooks

index

Rachel Blau DuPlessis took a Tapa Notebook to Durham, North Carolina, as she began a fellowship at the National Humanities Centre in September 2008. When she returned the completed notebook to Auckland in April 2009, Rachel made a video talk and reading for students from Poetry off the Page, who were about to enter the poetry archives as part of their coursework. On 28 April, the occasion of the handover of Rachel’s Tapa Notebook to Special Collections at the University of Auckland (and 100th day of the Obama presidency), Auckland poet Jen Crawford joined the class to talk and read from her Tapa Notebook. Both notebooks were then taken to the Library and presented to Stephen Innes at Special Collections.
