Richard Pamatatau is a journalism academic at AUT University. In a former life he was both a broadcast and print journalist specialising in Pacific Issues, information technology and business. He teaches across the journalism curriculum at AUT University with a focus on media law, ethics, writing and politics. His research spans pop culture, the gothic and journalism practice. In his spare time, he likes to sail, hike in the high country with his dog, and garden.

This sequence of poems is taken from 'Wayfinding' - a project for a Master of Creative Writing at Auckland University. The poems trouble history, identity, navigation, discovery and worklife.
