Biography

Jeanne Bernhardt was the recipient of the 1997 Louis Johnson New Writer's Bursary. Published widely in Australasia throughout the 1980s, her early work featured on the cassette release NZ Poem. A long-time resident of Dunedin, she is currently in New Mexico where she is working on new books of fiction and poetry. In Vorare Lacuna she owns:

my face has winter woven
inside
with no space between
save a prayer space
