Sea

Morning light leans

shoreward over a reef a page
the same brightness
as the sand

                     having gone

all the way home having nowhere
to return
ink fluent from the pen the pen
empties on the page
the charming

                      opaque intrigue

of feeling
               forwarding
the subtle

slow drag and recovery
of breath

multiple rippling surface
flipflops alongside
