RUST NOW SLEEPS

NOW WE ARE EIGHTEEN ITS A RACE TO THE TOP
WAS THAT A RED LIGHT DO I HAVE TO STOP?
HES HARDCASEWATCHTHISSPACEVODKACHASEBOYRACE
NOW WE ARE EIGHTEEN HES AN ACE

AND HIS MATES THEYRE ALSO AT ONE WITH THE WHEEL
THE CAR COMPLETES HIM FEEDS HIM DRIVES HIM TO SCHOOL
AND THE GIRLS ADORE THE PAINT JOB ITS PEPPERMINT GREEN
ITS AN ESCORT BY FORD ITS HIS DREAM COS
HES HARDCASEWATCHTHISSPACEVODKACHASEBOYRACE
NOW WE ARE EIGHTEEN HES AN ACE

FIRST GEAR BUYS A BEER SECOND BUYS A KRISTOV
THIRD BUYS A VODKA FOURTH TAKES THE TAX OFF
THE PRESSURE OFF THE CLOTHES OFF OFF OFF OFF
A SLIGHT COUGH BEHIND THE BACK OF MUM AND DAD
WHOSE LACK OF INSIGHT LOST THE PLOT
AT EIGHTEEN A GRAVE MISTAKE TOO FAST COPPED THE LOT
A POWER POLE STOPPED THE ROT AND RUST NEVER SLEEPS

WELL RUST NOW SLEEPS THE LONG NIGHT THROUGH
HIS BROTHERS AND SISTERS MISS HIM NOW
AT SCHOOL THEY HELD A CEREMONY
HIS FAVOURITE SONG HAD HARMONY
BUT HE WAS A BOY ON A JOURNEY
SURE IT WAS SHORT. DIDNT GO FAR
BUT WHILE HE WAS HERE LOVED HIS CAR

WHEN HE WAS EIGHTEEN IT WAS A RACE TO THE TOP
WAS THAT A GREEN LIGHT DID HE HAVE TO STOP?
HE WAS HARDCASEWATCHTHISSPACEVODKACHASEBOYRACE
NOW WE ARE EIGHTEEN HES AN ACE.IN THE HOLE
