so Willy watches for the tontons macoute,
meantime, the slow squid boat's wake
widens.. he knows the signals
a point of recollection, the opening
in a secure picnic or capote, say, that's a simple thing
like a record, a bogey, a track
across the water carried about
behind current attentions, confident letters
from friends, patrolling with dark glasses
the lines of condensation or wisteria
patterns on windows vaguely looked at
a second sleepless night, when Willy's
a fisher, patently,
and the serial's peculiar, incomplete..
