.. visits to an old gazette, where Willy disappears
into space, each next point a cast
from a coast the oat colour of a parachute -
nurse spiders have beginnings and ends, and on thread wings
and blue contract reconditioned car he floats past..
continuous Willy, traveller, each trace
(Mangawhau, you, what the tribe
meant when they built that spire) found in code..
'Remember the Eisenstein lions' he thought
when they returned, a crowd around
the couchant beasts at the cenotaph
driven by the Polizei. Many did,
and Willy's heart beat as he looked about,
such form, such connections
